wiring up the 4 headlights on an 89

so what i have read is that all i need to do is splice in the 85 headlight wires to the corresponding color wires on the 89 harness and then my i am done, the high beams will work and all. is that how it is supposed to be wired up.

I'm not sure what you're doing but it sounds good. THere's a low beam wire and a high beam wire to each aero headlight. Instead of having them go to one bulb per side, you'd split it off so the low wiring goes to the low beam and the high goes to the high beam (per side). It would, in essence, be like having jumper wires from the old harness (unless someone makes a prefabbed harness). Just make sure that the wire gauge and connections are stout.

yes that is the case. awsome it sounds as easy as i thought. i basically already have the lights wired that way. i had a fan accident way back when and the wires were toast.

ok i got it wired up right i believe. are all 4 lights supposed to come on when the brights are on, is this how the stock 85 works. also, which is the high beam, the 2 prong or 3 prong bulb.
