I just got an 01 gt coupe, and its in the body shop right now getting a cobra R body kit on it. Along with a fresh paintjob. I am toying with the idea of buying a kenne bell blower 9 psi intercooled.
I'm not that concered about trying to keep the exact match to the cobra R. So my question is I'm wondering what transmission to go with. The T-56 initially caught my eye since it was the origional trans for the cobra r, and a 6 speed would be mighty nice.
Or I've been looking at a Tremec TKO 500 trans, I have also heard that they are fairly cheap for what you get. I'm in Canada and the t-56 would be close to 4000 dollars. I can't find prices anywhere on how much the TKOs go for.
I doubt I could keep the stock trans with that amount of power also, but is there a heavy duty kit sold for the T-45?
