ok i finished my head and intake swap wednesday night but a dead batt kept me from playing.

i charged it and cannot get it to fire.

here is what i know.......

* yes i removed and installed the dizzy correctly
* i have spark on the correct cylinder, my daughter cranked it while i shot the timing light and it hits about 0-4
* i have 40 psi at the rail

i removed the spout to kill the advance and still nothing

point in the right way... i need to fire it up !!!!!!

How did you adjust the pushrods? What does it sound like when cranking over?

won't fire

If you had the wires off the distributor cap did you get the rotation/wiring of the distributor right?
Give it a shot of starter fluid. If it starts for a moment and sounds normal you can then concentrate on a fuel problem. Or if it dont start/backfires you know you have a timing issue.
Did you hook up all the ground wires between engine and firewall ?
