Have severe idle issues and codes. I tried to pull the spout out to check timing, and the car dies immedatly. I already replace distributor and TFI. wiring all looks good, any thoughts?
Whats the timing at idling with the sppout in? I ask because if your timing might already be too retarded and when you take the spout out it will retard 12-15 degrees and that can cause it to die.
As mentioned, when timing retards, the base idle goes down. If you have a way of holding the throttle open slightly, that might help to keep it from dying.
