We pulled the motor out to clean it up replace the seals and also did the main bearing and connecting rod bearings. We also did the timing chain. Now the thing won't start. We have verified fuel pressure, has spark at the plugs, the injectors are getting power and pulse. Today we just took apart the front of the engine because we narrowed it downed to a timing issue we thought it had to be the timing chain was not aligned correctly because the distributor was never removed.
Well the chain is perfectly aligned. So we are going to put it back together. So now to get it started is it normal to have to turn the distributor with that grey connector removed to get the car to start because before we started tearing it down this morning we tried moving it a little and it tried to fire but we didn't want to damage the internals of the motor because at that time we thought the timing chain was misaligned.
Thanks for your help in advance.
