Well I've had my timing adjuster on for about a week ago and everything is great no pinging at all or anything but what I'm worried about and its kinda puzzling me is that i'm not sure if the guy that put my Under drive Crank pulley on at 10* stock timing. I got my car dynoed last week and i figured 16* on 93 octane should be perfect. Ran the dyno and put down 244.20whp and 281.58 Ib, Thing that got me is It said I was runnin rich with A/F curve going from 3k-3300 right at 13:1. Then from 3300-4k it gradually went down to 12:1 then 4k-4.5k gradually went down to 11.5:1 then from 4.5k-5.k gradually mad it back up to 12:1 then 5k-6k stayed steady at 12:1. The guy at the dyno said I'm rich so he asked me to give it some more timing so I bumped it up to 18* So i'm thinking ok i'm gonna be pinging quick. Well ran the dyno No ping at all and actually gained 1/2hp and 3Ib at the wheels so now i'm just like wtf. I'll try to post a pic of my A/F ratio but its hard to read. I put it back down to 16 just to be safe but what do yall think. SHouldn't with bumped timing my A/F be runnin a lil more leaned out than that...

Well I believe that the crank pulley can only be put on one way if they are the non piggy back version due to the keyway on the crank. And check your instructions that came with your T/A, I think the Steeda adjuster is 1 degree off from what is indicated on the ring. As for A/F if you haven't done anything to the computer either with a flash or chip Ford sets the cars up to run richer because it is safer. 12-13 A/F is fine for a non boosted car.

13:1 is lean not rich. 13= air :1= Fuel. IWith your setup I like to see it No lower than 11.5:1 and no higher than 12.3:1.

Then i guess i'm just gettin worried about nothing. I just have one drop off that I wish i could bring up some. Actually my curve after around 3,500 rpm reaches low of right around 11.5:1 and at the top end stays right around 12:1-12.3ish:1 So i guess i'm ok and I got the crank pulley on there right so i'm not worried bout nothing b4. I just didnt no how in the world I was pullin off with 18* on my T/A No pinging and more room to work with

You are deff. in the safe boundries. You could richen out the bottom end of the rpm range and it would be safer on you engine, but I like being liberal cause if you are dipping down to 11.5:1, unless they can adjust the tune so you richen out everywhere else and stay right their between 4-5 grand then I would leave it alone dude.
