ok so im finally about to put some ported pi heads on my 98gt, it will be fully pi swapped, with a plenum/tb cai, exhaust/stock mani's, and 4.10's.

currently im running pi cams/pi intake, with the same bolt ons. How much of a gain am i looking at here? never put any good heads on a 4.6 so i dont really know. stock pi cams will be used.

will be tuned for the mods.

whats everybody think?

Why would you waste your time installing ported heads with the stock PI cams? You will maximize your gains if you use a more aggressive cam, although you will be limited on your choices since you are reducing your PTV clearance using the PI heads.

Hey Rusty, the gains may be as low as 10-15rwhp with stock cams. Do you have longtubes? Are you a TMCA member? If so, call up Tony or Danny @ Jaws Racing. They've done some excellent work + tuning on my car since I moved to Tallahassee back in April. With an aggressive cam + intake manifold + longtubes you should see 40ish rwhp. Depending on how heavily ported they are on the intake side, you may want to upgrade injectors, but the guys at Jaws can give you more info on that.

no offense i really dont like jaws and the hype, i do my own tuning as well. right now its either pi heads stock pi cams/lt's, or npi cams/springs and lt's, so i think im going to go with the latter.. i just need to find some good cams now, i dont want to get custom as i will be selling the car soon and just really want either a comp 268 or 274.. other wise i would be calling nick..
