Would a manual rack and pinion off a pinto work on a 5.0?

Has anyone heard of using a pinto rack and pinion on a 5.0?

Nope. It would be easier just to get a manual rack off a fairlane, or just buy a new manual rack.

fairlane eh? hmmmm I have also heard that the 79 5.0 had a stripped down option that had manual steering and that that would work. Anyone else?

ive looked everywhere I bought a 74 pinto rack for my car it don't have the ears the attach it to the car.

79-82 stangs were available with manual steering. I've heard you can get the rack for like $100 at autozone. there was just a topic on this a couple days ago....
