man i really like the way the 03-04 cobra looks, it looks so much "tougher" than the GT. would i be a poser if i bought the cobra front bumper and rear bumper and maybe a cobra r or saleen hood for my GT?

i dont think so as long as you kept your GT badges and had the "cobra" filled in and smoothed on the rear bumper. DO NOT put cobra badges on it and try to pass it off as one.

I guess technically you would be "posing" because you dont have an 03/04 Cobra and you are trying to give them the impression that you do. Who cares what other people think though if you think it looks good and you want to get it then get it. Just so long as you dont walk around and say you have an 03/04 Cobra because you have the body kit you should be good.

Well, I would say yes since the rear bumper will say Cobra on it. I would just get the front bumper and hood, but please don't put any snake emblems on it, please!

well im not trying to HAVE a cobra or make mine out to be a cobra, i just like the looks of the cobra and hell no i wasnt planing on puting the emblems on. i would definately fill the cobra rear bumper in. i just think the cobra looks so much sleeker than the GT. i hate the GT front and hood the most. the GT front bumper looks a hell of alot better with the mach chin spoiler though too. its amazing how much a little chin piece makes the car look.

the look i am going for is the low aggressive stance of the cobra. i had my GT next to a cobra the other day and was surprised at how different the two cars are, basically body wise its the same car, but the stance and the hieght of the two cars makes a world of difference. before, the cobra and GT looked the same basically. but now the GT and the 03/04 cobras are completely different cars. I wish i could afford a cobra.

well thats a tough one.I see alot of GT's and reg v6's with the Cobra R rims with the Cobra center caps on them so i would say thats posing too.But then again i do have a Saleen body kit on my car with Saleen on the rear bumper cover.BUT I did not put Saleen across the hood or the Saleen badges on the car.Just get what makes you happy but please don't put the Cobra emblems on the car.

Just buy a chin spoiler and aftermarket hood. It would be cheaper.

I agree, and besided if you make it look like a cobra, you better be able to back it up. But hey, there is nothing wrong with sporting the snake badges if you can back it up.

You can NEVER be considered a poser if you don't change badges.

I strongly disagree on that one...

Besides, if you beat somebody in a GT, you are going to get way more props than a car they THINK is a "Cobra".

My car would run with Cobra's but never in a million years would I put Cobra badges on it. I would (and probably will) swap out the front bumper, rear "filled in" bumper and maybe the hood. It's no different than Ricers putting Type-R badges on their slightly modded Civics.

I think it is possing to an extent. I think you can pick an item hear or ther but once you do a full coba, roush, or saleen makeover it is kind of like why did you not just buy one. there are so many independant parts out there. my ultimate stang would probaly be sallen facia, mach 1 hood, cobra rear facia. but then I come to my senses and say it is just f'ing platic and fiber glass why not make the car faster.

I really don't get most of the replies that you received to your question.

If you like the look of the cobra more than the look of your GT then go ahead and put the parts on. No it won't make your car faster, but it will look alot nicer...and more importantly, it looks that way bc you want it to look that way.

I kinda agree that putting on the cobra emblems would be pushing it... The best alternative would be to see if you can find an aftermarket manufacturer that makes the cobra bumpers with the 'MUSTANG' lettering.

Wow ... well said. Just put on what looks good and keep the badges. If I had my way, my car would have a Mach 1 hood, 03 Cobra bumper, and a Saleen S351 wing. Unfortunately, I actually have only one of those three ... and will be for quite a while.

The way I see it, I have the mach chin spoiler (as well as many many other members). Do I do it to be a Mach?? Nope.... I do it cause it looks a hell of a lot better than the GT bumper w/ the little tabs on the sides and the 4x4 front.

So, no you're not posing

I agree with everyone, its your car so make it look pleasing to your eyes. I love it when you look at your vehicle and you just get this feeling like " Man thats badass! " Thats how I feel about my Dodge truck. The thing looks like a Monster!

On the same note, I just bought the shaker kit, Mach 1 chin spoiler and a black '02 GT spoiler. Haven't installed anything yet, and hopefully tomorrow I can, but I love the way the Mach 1's look. Granted my car isn't going to look exactly like a Mach 1, but I like the retro styling, thats why I want to do it. I have no intentions on putting anything that says Mach 1 on it, but its the styling that I like. Although now I'm REALLY broke after buying all this *****!! But at least she'll look pretty

The thing I hate the most is when your friends, family or someone you know says "Hey, I saw you drive by the other day, why didn't you wave? " My response " Because it wasn't me " I HATE that!!! There are SO many Silver Mustangs out there its pathetic. I see them EVERYWHERE!!! So once my appearance mods are done, people will KNOW its me!!
Now if I can just rob a bank to get my Bullitt wheels and window louvers, I'd be set.
