I just did a 1-3/4 BBK long tube install with an X pipe. While i was under there, i was looking at my cat-back. I was just wondering if it would be worth me going to a 3" cat-back performance wise with a set of flowmaster mufflers. I know Flowmaster was supposed to come out with this awesome cat-back (called the delta, or something like that), but i havent heard anything on it in about 8 months or so.
any opinions?

If your running at least 350hp you should be ok. Big thing people forget is that bigger isn't always better. A 3" system on a stock Mustang is a joke, mine is mostly stock and I went with a aftermarket 2 1/4" system. A 2 1/2" on a stocker is pushing it as well IMO.

You may have some fitment issues around the axle area. Its pretty tight in there as it is and you know the aftermarket stuff doesn't always fit right. JMO though. If you do it, let us know how it fits for the next guy that is wondering if it will fit.

Go to Dynomax's website and take a look at their info on sizing/flow. I doubt you'll see any benefit from going to 3" duals. After all, there are numerous high-HP F-bodies out there running high 10's/low 11's through SINGLE 3" systems.
