Would it be worth the effort to install E7s on my motor?

Yea, silly question right? Well my motor is bone stock from carb to oil pan, so it's still got the good old E5s on it. Would i see any gain with stock E7s?

I'm sure for the effort it's probably not worth it but i could use the practice changing heads, and i'm broke like a mofo so i'm all about junkyard free stuff.

BTW, we're talking about unported, and in all other ways stock E7s, except for maybe a nice valve job.

Not really worth it in my opinion, ubt if you port them, then are they worth it? Hell yes. I put ported stock heads on my car, and it really does improve the overall performance, Best bang for the buck I have on my car, considering I got the heads for free and ported them myself :)

Yea this is something i've always wanted to do but havent researched much. I know guys like Thumper are all about ported E7s, and he obviously started somewhere. The thing i'm curious about is can i buy used ones and port them myself for the price Thumper sells them for? I spent a pretty good amount of money on stuff to polish my wheels and didnt really get where i wanted to be. I have the basics as far as tools go but i do have a Dremel, not sure if that's powerful enough though. I seem to remember something in the 600 dollar range from Thumper....

yeah, hes got prices from 600 to 900 depending on the application and what is done to the heads. ive got a set of e7s that i would sell pretty cheap, but it would cost a lot for shipping. i might just try to port them myself if i get some extra money and buy the stuff. whats the website with all the stuff you need and how to do it. i remember seeing it, but cant find it now?
