Wreck, Airbags, and $ OH MY!!

ok so wrecked my car not badly but airbag did deploy, will need new bumper front bumper cover and all that now the question is can i just pop a new airbag in there and everythings going to be ok or do i need to change some impact sensors or something and then it'll be safe to replace? i just dont want the thing to blow up in my face when i plug it back in and also waste the money so yah...Help!

I think tou can just plug the new one in. Don't buy a new airbag they are a waste of money you can get one at most scrap yards for like 35 buks. Or you can use a wheel out of a 87-89 I think or 87-88. I personnaly hate air bags Just for that reason. Would you have been hurt if you didn't have an airbag.

i hate them too. now i have a big gaping hole on my steering wheel where it use to be and it looks ugly as hell, more trouble then its worth due to that i wouldve been fine if it didnt deploy. thanks for the help. ive acquired a new one from the junkyard already $40!! but hey its better than the price of a new one!

make sure none of the impact sensors are damaged & if they are make sure to replace them 1st.
