wrist pin removal

hey i need to remove the wrist pin on one of my pistons and wanted to see how you guys do it. I have searched around but only to find different things. I don't know if i need a specailty tool for this or what. All the advise i can get helps. the pistons are out of a 87 5.0 mustang

Bring them to a shop, they have special tools to craddle the piston while pressing out the pin. I believe the small end of the connecting rod gets a little bit of heat also in order to press the pin out.

I have never done it on a piston from a Car or Truck but alot of dirt bikes and snowmobiles and I used a deep socket that was a little smaller than the wrist pin (12-14mm) and pushed or lightly tapped out
