Not a very great vid due to distance and being at night. But the Stang in the vid doesn't sound like it has a foreign motor in it.

you'd think if they used an american car they'd also use an american engine. amnit: first they run over a stang with a semi, now they swap a nissan into a classic mustang. crapola

Not just a classic mustang, that looks like a 68 Shelby, or a replica, either way its a 68 factback that should still have a V8 in it!

True, it does sound like a V8.

I dont know what were they trying to do in that scene but the stunt man in the 350Z/G35 needs to go back to driving school!

Thanks for the link.

There was some discussion about that video on streetfire. I'm sure the Z was supposed to do that to let the Stang around it like they were drifting or racing or being ricers.

I'm sure by the time the movie comes out, the reasoning behind the motor swap will reveal itself. For instance, the stang will have a V-8 in it early in the movie. It will then get spanked by gay imports (like Paul Walker in an Evo VIII that goes backwards down the freeway at 90mph). At that point, the character who drives the mustang will swap the skyline motor into it. He will then beat everyone. The end.crapola

But of course, thats obvious. I can even see the ricers after the movie comes out saying that V8's suck and you need an inline 6 to get the job done!

Thats what happens when you really want a REAL car but peer pressure from all your import driving friends gets the best of you. I dig the RBs and I lust for 67-68 fastbacks. But its kinda like putting really good hot sauce on your favorite ice cream.

Odd...

Look at the top of the shock towers.

Where are the top of the shocks? Coil overs still poke through in the classics and are visible from the top of the shock towers.
