need to do plugs on the GT quick, so picked up some bosch plats. i think they gave me the wrong ones, check out the thread difference. i need to know if these will even work, they look like they will protrude too far into the cylinder.
yeah nevermind, i installed them anyways and the car runs like poo. idles rough, is really choppy down low, and has no power anywhere. i checked and rechecked everything.
i think ill just pick up some motorcrafts tomorrow. does autozone or just anywhere have them or are they a dealer only thing?
I would not put Bosch plugs in my lawn mower. Some of their stuff is great such as their new Icon wiper blades (the best blades I have ever had). However, their plugs just do not seem to work well in modular engines.
Yes I have gotten Motorcraft plugs at AutoZone. If you get lucky your AutoZone will have them. WalMart may have them as well.
I recommend you go with Motorcraft AGSF-32C @ .054
DO NOT use Bosch plugs . I've seen them cause so many problems on cars.
Motorcraft is the way to go. The Motorcraft plug will also have more thread. It is a revised plug which is supose to help with the problem of the plug comming out of the head.

There is nothing wrong with the Bosch plugs, our motors just do not run well with platinums period. Platinum plugs cannot dissipate heat well enough as compared to a standard copper plug and this exacerbates detonation which kills power.
The Motorcraft plugs are good, but I would highly recommend you use the NGK's. I promise you will notice the difference in thottle response and power.
If you are naturally aspirated and want to try the NGK's: NGK TR-55 (Stock# 3951) / .708 reach/14mm thread
The spark plug blowout issue has nothing at all to do with the number of threads in the spark plug, but rather the number of threads in the head which obviously cannot be changed.
