Thanks guys, I asked only because on 4.6's there is a difference. There is a piggy-back style and there are the ones with the harmonic balancer all in one.

What about the belt?

Yes it does. It is a stock 5 spd car. I bet its air silencer is still installed.

March Power Amp here. No charging issues. THe Power Amp series uses a smaller diameter alternator pulley so it'll spin faster at idle compared to the stock larger diameter pulley.
My car does get alittle warm in the summer time, but prolly not the pulley's fault (115* heat, black car, stop-and-go traffic).

In Portland you probably won't have problems but there are parts of the country and cars used for stop and go commuting with a/c on that have cooling issues when overdrives are installed. Similarly, with the stock fox body alt. (65A) if big electric cooling fans, stereos, lots of headlight/driving light watts are used, many people have charging problems at low speeds. There is no way to predict what's gonna happen without trying them. And someone else telling you it worked or didn't work on theirs is not predictive as to what's gonna happen with your buddy's car. Just so you know the whole story about underdrives. Definitely help free up a few HP; but it's not without a cost in some cases. In my case, had to take them off to solve overheating and charging issues.

If he needs a smaller size belt, he will need to step down to a 89.5 inch belt. I would have one handy just in case. I had to go through 3 belts in order to get the right size.

BTW, I have BBK Aluminum pulleys.

Took me about 30mins or less to get mine on. The only problem i have is when i start the car up it makes a real loud squak noise and the power gauge will go down so im pretty sure it has something to do with my alt. Gona look at it more tonight. After putting them on i felt the diffrence and you wouldnt beleave the size diffence from the stock crank to the new one the new one actualy fits in the stock crank pulley i coulndt beleave it.
