Wtf,back of car now sits higher???

So i just got dine swaping my stock rear end to an 87 turbo coupe rear.
Everything went pretty smooth but no i sit the car on the ground with my wheels and tires on it, and the damn thing is sitting like a inch higher then stock. WTF?
ALL of the parts are reused stock parts off of my car except of corse the axle housing. I didnt even take the isolaters out of the springs. What could make my car sit higher. Maybe i installed the springs wrong??

If you install the springs with the coil bottoms(cut wire) facing the rear of the car that will lift the car.

Hard to explain.lol
When you install the coils the bottom end of the wire of the spring if it faces to the back(rear) of the car you will get 3/4"-1" lift because how the springs are wound. I have 2" lowering springs and when I drag race I lift the rearend and rotate my spriings and gain 1" of lift for clearance of my fenders.

How are your brakes doing? Did you use the rear disks that come with the TC rear axle?

I had to do some work on the brake system to get the brakes up to par. A set of 73 MM calipers fixed things right up

spring ends need to be facing driver side. also the weight is supposed to be on the suspension before you tighten all the control arms.

both point to drivers side. might be able to just unhook the shocks and get enough pressure off to twist them.

If your using quad shocks the mounting holes on the rear end need to be lowered. I just took mine off. Also if you still want an e-brake SVO cables were pretty easy to make work.

we don't live in mexico....

no offense to any of our hispanic 5.0 lovers....
its just some teenagers like to drive lo-riders by cutting the coils in half.... totally ghetto, and they all seem to be of the same heritage.....

You will need to drill the quad shock mounting holes 2” below the holes drilled for the Turbo Coupe mounting points. The bolts are metric, so don’t loose them or the nuts. A 15/32” drill should be about the right size unless you have access to metric sized drill bits. Going without quad shocks is not an option unless you have aftermarket parts to soak up the wheel hop.
