WTF? Wipers crazy

Ok ok I'm driving down the road and all of a sudden my wipers come on for no reason right. When I stop and turn the engine off, still going. I have to unplug the freaking motor to make them stop. Why is my car being retarded?

THat is a Ford trait. I had two rangers that did that. I believe there was a recall for certain vehicles, they replacedc the motor, but I don't think it fixed them, I believe some of those motors were defective too. I'd be driving along and the wipers would go thru a cycle and I'd be like WTF. It's sunny and I never hit the lever.

Sounds like you might have a short in your multifunction switch(brights, turn signals, Wipers) Just another possibility. I have had 2 of those burn out on me
