this is what i got after telling them that i had the car in storage not running. and discovered some rust on the tips. i asked what they recomend to remove the rust.

ideas, thoguhts or opinions?

Ditto. Stainless steel does not rust... there's nothing else to add to that statement.

If you're showing rust spots then it's likely due to water that contains iron oxide, dripping on the pipes. Metal polish will remove that.

ok thanks guys. i was always under the impression that stainless can rust. its just very hard for it to happen. but since there is still steel in it it would be possible.

i'll go home and check it out.

Typically stainless steel will not rust unless it becomes contaminated.

Just do not use those Brillo or s.o.s pads, or abrasive "lubes." That can be a factor that can cause contamination.

Also, not all stainless steel is created equal.
