If the lifters had a lot of miles on them swap them out, worth the $115 while it is apart IMO.

check them out like he said if ther car has alot of miels and they look worn or you have a tick then id replace them but roller lifters are usually good for a long time i changed cams in my old motor at 90k and kept stock liferts and never had a prob

I'm don't think roller lifters really break in with a certain cam, swapping wouldn't be a problem, but like the guy said, if you got 'em out, spend a few and get new ones, crane has some nice ones, comp sucks for hyd. rollers, my stock ones had closer tolerances.

Stock will be just fine...hydro-roller lifters don't really go bad...look at your old cam and see what shape it is in...and than decide...

Flat tappet lifters are the type that need to be kept with a specific lobe on the cam. Roller lifters it doesn't matter.

How important is it that the rollers keep rolling the same way they always have?

I can only tell you I paid no attention to that at all on mine with the head/cam/intake swap - that was 2 years and 13K miles ago.
