I have a 2011 V6, 3.7L Mustang with new MagnaFlow exhaust muffluars, Airaid cold air intake, and bama custom 91 race tune. I am wondering what i should do next? If i should do it myself? What do you guys think I should do?

lower the car, but let a professional do the job. i let my local dealer lower my wife's and i supplied the parts. couldn't be happier, because now if something happens to her car it still has it's warranty intact (i got this in writing from the dealer). while we all strive for more power, you simply can't beat the look of a lowered Mustang...

Install the parts yourself and have the car aligned when you're done.

unless he has access to the correct spring compressor and a ford repair manual, i wouldn't recommend doing this install. even still, better to let a professional do it than screw up something and be stuck with a car that is messed up and now you have voided the warranty on the suspension.

I get what you're saying but installing a lowering kit is not rocket science and what's more, to do it RIGHT requires:

New shocks and struts
New springs
Caster Camber Plates
Adjustable Panhard Bar
Adjustable 3rd link
and probably something else I'm forgetting. The point is that the money can be saved on all that labor and put towards parts.

A good shop manual is ALWAYS a great idea but if you get stuck, there's always YouTube.

This site wasn't built by folks who "Take it to the shop".

not going to get into an argument with you Noobz, if you work on your car yourself, good for you. i don't have time or the place to work on mine so i pay someone. if they screw it up, i can yell at them.

Why were you thinking 4.10's? What is your current ratio?

This is the way I did it, but it took me a couple of weeks to find a place in town that could actually do the alignment because the body kit I put on the car, combined with the 1.5 inch lowering, makes it too low to take to most alignment places. It also cost me almost $200 to have aligned.
