hey mod guys-

buddy of mine has a 98 gt he just got. car has stock manifolds, a prochamber, no cats and flowmasters (look like 2 chambers) with tails. his car sounds great but just doesnt have the loudness it should. is it because of the prochamber? im thinking that a offroad x or h would be almost less restrictive and would be louder. am i right?

he's wanting a x pipe. who makes a x with no cats that will bolt up to the stock manifolds? where can i find it?

thanks guys

Any for a 96-98 will work.
power wise they are all about the same, yes the prochamber reduces the Db a few but it also gives the car alot more lowend feel to it than an h or x will. Personally I wouldn't ditch the prochamber for one unless he just has some money burning a hole in his pocket.

I have an SLP X that I picked up from Summit, very good fit and easy to install. If you don't want to spend the extra cash for the SLP, pick up a UPR.

You should ask the dead. I wake them every time I pass by the graveyard. They do like Carrie at the end of the movie, except when their arms come up out of the ground they have a thumbs up sign...
A Larry the Cable Guy literally followed my fiance in a store to ask her what was done to the Stang because he never heard one sound like that.

The X = loud. The Flows = rumbly. So instead of a loud and raspy exhaust, you get a loud and throaty exhaust. Magnaflows are too quiet in my opinion. You can hear me coming and going. Everyone at my job knows when I'm coming, and they be inside of the building. The only down side is if I'm late, everyone knows it...

i have the magnaflow catted x-pipe and magnapack catback and i highly recommend it. doesn't drone, a lot louder outside than inside and i get compliments on it all the time from all sorts of sportcar owners. doesn't sound like the typical flowmaster sound that's associated with mustangs. it's more racey than a grumble, but not raspy like other x-pipes.
