I put my new Bassani X-pipe on last weekend. Now I am hearing what seems to me like excessive metallic vibrations from under the car usually around 2500-3500 rpm. They cant be heard from outside the car only in the passenger compartment. I didnt see any heat shields that would be vibrating. Does anyone else with these pipes have these noises or do I need to readjust the pipe? Could it be an exhaust leak or am I just paranoid?

When I did my UPR the exhaust flange gasket on the passenger side went kablam. It sounded like ass untill I fixed it. It was very noticable...

Aside from that, if its not lined up 100% on the drivers side it will leak also, im about to fix this problem now... lol.

i just got done putting on my bassani x pipe about a week ago. When i cconnected the catback to the x pipe i rotated the left cat back a little and it was vibrating on my fram at about 2500 to 3200 all i had to do was get under and loosen the bolts and twist it away from the body.

Exactly. Any time I have the midpipe off, I always need to realign the catback or else it will rub on the frame.

Definitely more tranny noise. Didn't think about the cat-back adjustment. I'll give that a look too. I love the sound of the x-pipe. Im gonna hope the gasket isnt bad. I did some checking on it with the car on a lift and didnt feel any air coming from the rh manifold flange. But then again the noises seem to be occuring when under a good torque load.

Pypes, i think, sucks. Upr isn't my favorite. I would say go with a mac pro-chamber or a bassani x. If you are tight for money and have to get one or the other UPR is better.

well thatnks for the advise everyone but i think im gonna have to go with pro chamber o/r...

o yea...i heard clips of it with sl1 and they sound amazing....

thanks very much

im runnin slp lm1's

and i have hard the pro chamber with slp and it sounds mean...

if yall have upr or pypes sound clips can yall please post the up/...

o yea before i forget...hot some everyone says to go with a chambered mid pipe if u have tubed mufflers like slp!???

Hey guys problem solved. The steel clamp on the rear drivers side was about 1/8" from the tranny crossmember. Under a load it would just barely touch from the engine torquing over. 5 minutes to make the adjustment. Sounds freakin' sweet now and the shipping coating finally burned off the pipes so no more smelly interior. Thanks for all the ideas.
