x pipe

well i got my car don and im bolting the exhaust on and my x pipe isnt fitting on there. makes no sence to me because it fit fine on there before i did the h/c/sc.

now the xpipe hits my shifter linkage on my aod and i cant figureout y.ne ideas

do the heads make the exhaust differnt some how

Depends on what heads you switched to. Some have the exhaust port raised but it is usually a minimal distance in the long run.

Are you using a different mount?

Good points there. Mine has "changed" on me a couple times. Once when I installed new poly engine & trans mounts; once when I changed to a different set of manifolds. Both times I was able(lucky?) to adjust the hanger positions with a BMFH(big mf'in hammer)....

I heat and bend the hangers all the time to make the pipes fit better...

im useing edelbrock heads casting 60259/and im useing stock mounts but like i said all this fit with no problem now its pressed against my shiftage linkage and i cant select gears

i dont even have the xpipe hanging on hangers(there are none) just is a pos

ebay like i said thoough it fit perfect before installing the h/c/i/sc

i took it off seval times to do other stuff and put it right back on no problems(its for a aod if that what your getting to)
