If in fact my valvetrain is shot, I am thinking about going with the protopline 180 58cc heads.
(shown here are the 64cc flow numbers, and have been verified by an outside source) http://www.procylinderheads.com/f2204000180.htm
X303 camshaft with stock ratio roller rockers would be somewhere around this.
Advertised duration: 299 intake/309 exhaust
Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 222 intake/232 exhaust
Gross valve lift: .510 in. intake/.534 exhaust
Lobe separation: 112 degrees
Peak horsepower rpm: 6,000
Peak torque rpm: 2,750
Power range 2500-6000 - Fair to slightly rough idle
P/V clearance will be fully addressed by a machine shop. Stock pushrods and lifters will be okay?????
With my gt40 lower ported by Tom (tmoss), and a 70mm tbody, I hope to exceed 300rwhp, maybe 330 range.... possible?

hey, indy. i hope that someone will answer your questions because i have no idea. i think you should be 300+. as soon as you know you need to let me know first! i love the idea of an affordable head that can, from initial reviews, have great power potential.

if it was me i would run a bigger cam with 1.6, maybe a custom cam but i think the x would do fine. but i'm not an engine guru by any stretch so maybe someone will confirm for me

A bigger cam with 1.6? That cam is already pretty damn big I doubt he needs anything bigger. If I were you and I was already tearing everything down to do it right, I would call someone up and get a custom ground cam to maximize your performance.
