Xcal2 87 Tune

i dont know about you guys , but when i uploaded the 87 tune in my car.I didnt feel any power gains.Maybe its just me or maybe the gain was too small too notice
anyone using the 87 tune? what did you feel?

Probably too small to notice. The 91/93 tunes advance the timing a bit more over the stock tune. You don't get that gain with the 87 tune.

If you loaded a 87 octane tune on a car with a manual transmission you won't gain much if anything

yup , thats true.I dont think i gained anything.the 93/97 tune were giving me pinging issues so i cant use those.I did ask my dealer to send me a 91 tune.I will try that and see how that goes.
And if the 91/93 only has timing advansed over stock.I can just advance the timing on my own with user adjustements and get the same gains even with the 87 tune, right?

It would not give the same gains, because you cannot advance the timing as far using 87 octane fuel as you could using 91/93 octane fuel, and also timing isn't the only parameter changed with a performance tune. For instance, A/F ratio is also adjusted.
