I've posted this on another forum so you may have seen this already but for those who haven't:

Well I started with a bone stock 92 Bimini Blue Coupe.

Overall the car was in good shape with some minor damage to the hood and passenger fender. I already completed a 5 lug conversion and put exhaust on the car.

The opportunity to get the car painted came up before I could do anything else so decided to go ahead and get the outside painted with the engine bay to follow when I redo the motor. So I stripped the car and sent it out to get painted at a local shop that works on anything from Mustangs to Lamborgini's.

I've been restoring the window trim, quarter windows, cowl grill, and side mirror while they work on the body.

I'm using a high build primer to fill the pits.(apply two coats, sand with 400, redo until smooth, finish with some quality trim paint)

I feel ya on the trim....I just spent like 6 hours outside, and I'm about halfway done (doing all the window trim on the car).

Edit: Oh, and the '03 Cobras look AWESOME on it.

They came out pretty good. I may pick up another set and redo them later on. I still had some tiny pits that I missed but I need to get the car back together so I kinda rushed these.

Just out of curiosity, how much did that paint job set you back? The color is beautiful! When you have it all put back together, you need to get some hi-res pics taken.

Well let's just say the company I work for sends alot of buisness to that body shop so I got a really good deal. But normally they would charge about $2500-3000 for the outside only with no color change and no major body work.

Thanks man! I'm really excited but it still has a ways to go. I'm going to attack the suspension next and then tear into the motor. Oh and then I need to work on the interior a bit. Never ends

I love your coupe by the way, looks mean
