I need a new drivers side belt. It was chewed by rats, yep rat, so I've been looking for something to replace it with. One can't buy a new one so its either eBay or junkyard.. Anyone ever buy a set off eBay? Did it work out for you? I'm affraid of buying a set and the retractor being F'd up.

Yup. Bought a set of 1990 Black seatbelts.....

Pretty sure they don't lock up properly.

I've read there are companies that will rebuild them, so as soon as I find one i'll send them off for repair.

I fear I'll have to return to ebay and buy another set.

May have to just get a grey set to have working seat belts. None in the rear (hard to find black lap belts) but I'd at least like working frony belts in a car with no airbags.

I think LRS has repros....but they were a tad expensive and not a fan of reproduction mustang stuff.

They have repro front belts for the 04's+ but that's all. They do sell a lap belt but it has poor reviews

The reds are cheaper? I had a white lx w the red interior. I kinda liked it.. But anywho I got a 2nd email with an order confirmation and tracking #.. So maybe they're on the way. Guess I gotta watch my bank and track that sht.. F'n eBay. A group of us ought to get together and buy new seatbelts and such from cars that are 9 yrs old and then sell em after the 10 yr required oem manufacturing period is up.

On Ebay? Yeah.

Seems like everyone wants grey and black seatbelts for interior swaps. Red is the bastard child of Mustang interiors

I'm thinking the rebuilds people are always talking about are just rebuilding the inertial reel; not refurbishing the entirety of the seatbelt assembly.

Edit: google just told me about this place: Mustang Seat Belts : Replacement Seatbelts, Seat Belts, Retractable Seat Belts, and Seatbelt Extenders @ SeatBeltsPlus.co

They're a bit cheaper than the LMR kits.

I think they're gonna work. I bouht a set of four because I couldn't find someone selling only a driver side belt which is the one I needed. Guess I'll squirrel away the others.
