Just looking for valve covers and just can't decide what between these two
Both are ford racing tall valve covers one's polished and ones black with red lettering but on the black one's paint the red to match my car. I thought with the black I could break up the polished look and keep the theme going with the paint scheme

thanks in advance

Paint the block to match the color on the black valve colors and then use those...that will look BAAADAAAAASS!! I've got the polished version, you really can't go wrong with either.

Can I get the paint that's on my car in high temp because I was just going to buy some fancy pin-stripe brushes and paint over the valve covers but now you really got my wheels spinning....:spot: :nice:

thanks

also are you going to paint your car or keeping it flat either way baddass car I remember back when you first got it or at least I think it was you...LOL:shrug:

For mine I'm going polished, but for your car I would go with black/painted letters and painting the block the body color would be fine. I did my block laser red, but since I went with Lamborghini red for my stripes, I think going to paint the block Ford blue. Unless you're painting heads near the exhaust ports, body paint works.

Hmmm...i'm not sure about a custom color high temp paint....i'm sure it's been done in hotrodding a million times but i don't know where to look.

I'm putting new doors on it this winter and doing a little body work...hopefully paint will come sometime in the summer :)

It's been done for years. I've worked with/on and around cars/engines/custom street rods for years. If you have any doughts, clean a spot on a running engine and try it out. Just don't paint the headers or exhaust manifolds.

Ya know i was thinking, you could probably use some kind of high temp paint as a sort of primer/heat block and then paint over that with your body color. It wouldn't have the chemical resistance like a high temp paint would so you'd have to keep it clean.
