Greets-

I have a couple of questions for you guys and I was hoping to solict input...

1. Does the '05 GT come with a substansial window tint at all? By that I guess I mean more than most cars... from what I can gather it does, but I have not really had the chance to see them up close very much.
2. Do you think I should go darker than the factory tint? This is kind of a loaded question because of several factors... I live in Arizona and my 'Stang will be yellow. Hence, a darker tint will be very utilitarian, plus it'd look sweet. I also know that a yellow '05 GT is already gonna be enough of a cop magnet, plus I have already decided that no matter that a dark tint looks good, it won't look that good and truthfully, I don't want to go too crazy with the tint... just some...

So, what's the story on the factory tint? What do you guys think I should do?

I would at least go with 35% if you want to keep it legal. I went with 17% on all windows and it looks great.

Search window tint scratches on this forum. The tint will get alot of long scratches from rolling the windows down. Go to a pro to have it done and see if they can apply felt on the inside of the window trac. I have seen a few post about this but no resolve weather it worked or not.

There is no noticeable tine from the factory. I would definitely get the tint, stay legal for your state. I would look for a tint that will provide a life time warranty just to cover any problem that might crop up. The late mustang build should already have the felt installed, mine did.

Get tint, the factory isn't hardly tinted at all. If you can get a lifetime warranty against scratches, get that. Also get the felt/moleskin strip, or your tint will probably scratch. 35% is pretty light, it barelly looks tinted. 20% is pretty nice, and I use 15% down here in FL, because cops rarelly ever check it, and it's really bright and hot during the summer.
