Just curious on you guys' general thoughts on this 351W for $400 locally (of course, possibly subject to bargaining). I will assume (and confirm) that carb is included:

"crane energizer cam matching lifters, rpm performer eldebrock intake, new distributer, dynamax headers full length, new water pump new fuel pump.doesn't leak anywhere.needs alternater and power steering pump."

It's listed as an 80's block, but I've yet to reach him for a casting #

Sounds like a decent price. The cam and lifters are/were about $130 new (crane went out of business.) The intake retails for $240. Figure a core price on a block is about $150. You're already sitting at $420. That's not counting the distributor fuel pump or headers. Easily over $500.

Kind of my thoughts, too. Just wanted to hear from others. Thanks.

Sounds like a fair and possibly great deal to me. I would get it home and disassemble to make sure you dot the "I"s and cross the "T"s that he may have missed. And, by the way, Crane is back/still in/doing business. At least in the support department. I believe they moved the factory to a different building.
