As you requested, wrecked pics...

:(, just called my body shop, asked him if he could shave the emblems. Hes like...Oh my god. im like what? he says thats alot of work. im just like ok the put the emblems on. So after i get it back and get some money ill just save up and get the side mirrors painted, emblems shaved, and the back bumper MUSTANG letters smoothed and painted over. For that I'll take it to my old body shop because I do believe he is better and has a better attitude towards some stuff. AND cheaper. One step at a time for now I guess. Oh and to answer your questions...$8,000-$9,000 worth of damage, tires are Kelly Charger HPT's, and mity, yes that radiator is crap, thats why im getting a Fluidyne:).

Oh, and does anyone know if you can get plugs similar to those when you take the wing off, for the emblem holes??

I wouldn't worry about shaving the badges. If you plan to shave the badges after the body and paint work is finished, the fenders will need to be repainted again. That would be a waste in my opinion to just have the badges shaved. Badges FTW:flag:

Ew it was gunna be totalled and you decided to keep it? What did they offer you for the car? I don't believe you are paying $9,000 to fix up that thing...and another thing, how is that only $9,000 of damage? Mine was sooooooo much less severe than yours and was $6,000.

Only damage was body work and radiator damage. Yours on the other hand had a bent frame. No thanks. Chuck it IMO.

yours was 6k???? i could have fixed it for half that

I went to the most expensive, reputable shop around and they quoted it @6k. They blended the paint all the way to the rear quater panel. There was a ding in the door too. And he got me a new 295 KDW2 out back since it got a "slice" in it.

What do I care what it cost? I only paid $1000 and insurance covered the rest. :nice:

All I know is it came home sexier than I remembered it being:

yes i am paying 9,000. its because i only had liability, nothing would of been covered anyway. And he said it will drive fine, because he cut it off right in front of the doors and put all new pieces on. other than that its fine, just the 2 front upper frame rails, so there new now:). Nothing else is bent or anything, the wheels are still straight and everything, like, in line with each other...

so the frame rails were bent and now new ones were put on?

its NEVER going to drive the same

It will be just fine as long as the repair was done correctly.

The upper frame rails he talks about bolt the fenders and hood to the car as well as the radiator support. Has nothing to do with it driving the same as long as your actual frame rails straighten out properly and have no buckles in them. It should all be fine because that radiator support has to go in between them so there isn't much room for error. It will either fit or it wont.

You should be fine. But you should also slow it down next time lol
