to put a long story short, my uncle just bought a c6 vette and i want to be able to beat him to work(we live and work together) or at least hang with him, would a cai, 91 tune, udp's, and mufflers be a good enough recipe to hang with or beat him? also, gears are not possible... strictly simple bolt-ons thanks.

Im guess when you mean c6 you mean the c6 with 400 hp with just cai , tuner, pullies and mufflers no way will you be able too. The car is very air dynamic. But nothing a s/c or turbo couldn't fix. :) but thats just my 2 cents.

I've got a 462hp Vortech on my 2005 GT and the power/weight ratio is about the same as my friend's 405hp C5 Z06 and they're pretty even although his brakes are better.

So the answer to your question is no. The GT500 can barely manage it as it's so heavy.

Search through your car and remove ANYTHING that is not essential and try to reduce the cars weight by 200 LBS to get down near the Vette's weight. Vette has 100+ more HP and is nearly 175 LBS lighter...not much math needed there to figure out haw far in the whole you are stock. Easiest recipe is to add some bolt ons, drop some weight and brush up the best you can on driver skill(biggest part of the equation) then go from there.

When I was in on Thusrday having my H pipe installed the guy showed me the pallet of boxes on a forklift next to an'03 Cobra. It had boxes stacked nearly 6' tall!!!!! He said it was just over $25K in parts. Helion turbo kit(planning on tuning it to about 800 HP!!!!!), various engine internal upgrades, suspension goodies, yada yada yada.

You could always sabotage him. :D

Easiest & lowest cost way to beat your uncle's C6:

1. Put sugar in is gas tank.
2. slash his tires.
3. Use your ViceGrip plyers to crimp his gas line.
4. Cut 2 or 3 of his spark plug wires.
5. Drain the oil out of his engine & transmission.
6. Disconnect the throttle.
7. ..................
