Do most of ya use your stock SPWs? I got 113k on the clock and have, from my knowlege, stock wires - never had a problem with them. But im looking to change out my plugs so i was thinking about buying wires too. Should I, and what kind?

You could order you some FRPP from various places online and can even get red ones to match your car

Yeah, that's what i was thinking. They look OEM to me, yet im suprised I've never needed to change em, I've always gotten full spark when i ran scope tests. So FRPP wires and Autolite copper core plugs or MotorCraft AWSF-22C? Where's a good deal for the wires?
I've always liked how the OEM ones have the cyl. # on them

Few more questions:
Gap: .054-.056?
SP type: Should i run an AGSF for full threads (which will fit) even though our heads are half thread design, or stick with AWSF?
Heat: Im thinking 22C instead of stock 32C which would be one range cooler than stock for my application.

as in for my use, my car - lol. I figured 1 range cooler than stock due to my driving and bolt-ons

i wouldnt worry about it if you're not running nitrous or boost. and I think i paid around $100 for the wires back in 2002.

Both AutoLites and the AWSF series use the old short thread plug design. The latest recommendation is AGSF which has the long threads which may help prevent spark plug blowout.
yeah, i should proly run an AGSF 32C to make sure it runs hot enough to burn all the carbon out and run effciently
My choice would absolutely be AGSF-32C @ .054
killy, you've never steered my wrong. Ima head over to Napa Auto parts and see if they carry MotorCraft plugs, i need to pick up some Loctite silicone RTV anyways. I bought the FRPP 9mm red SPW's btw, should be here next week, thanks :SNSign:
I say we keep this open for SP and SPW debate tho
