I just purchased a 67 today. I am curious which VIN is used for the titling/registration process on this particular year. I have the VIN plate on the driver's door but that is the only one I'm able to find on the car. Where are the others located? Can someone post a pic of what it looks like so I can verify the information?

thanks,
LB

Hate to disagree, but the buck tag most certainly can be used for identification. That is what the state of Florida used for my car since the vins were hard to read on my aprons from a repaint.

I lived in Floriduh, nothing there can surprise me. There are some states that didn't even have car titles in the sixties. But the buck tag is not to be used for title purposes. It is easy to buy a reproduction, or get one from another car. Did you know if a Ford dealer didn't special order a Mustang, it didn't even get a buck tag. next time you are at a Mustang show, check out some unrestored cars without the buck tag, you'll see there is no hole in the inner fender for a tag.
