turning headrest around on 06 GT

Hi,

I am in the process of buying a 2006 GT, One minor problem is that the passenger headrest is too far forward and ends up hurting my wife's back. We bought a 2005 Freestyle in the summer of 2005 and was able to flip the headrests around.

I tried doing this on the 06 GT, but they only come up so far and stop. Does anyone have any ideas on how to turn this thing around?

You need to push a paperclip-sized pin into a small hole on one side of the head rest to release it. One side has the button, the other has the pin hole, then it pulls straight up. Good luck!

I did this and was able to turn the headset around. It now works great while also providing the safety needed in the event of a crash.

Now, back to the dealer tomorrow to negotiate the terms of the deal.
