my friend has a 2000 mustang gt and i bought a 2003 and he sold me hes pro 5.0 shifter and it dosnt fit mine? i know he had a t-45 and i got an 3650 or something but when do the years of the tranny change?

You're right. Halfway through 2001 they started the change. Sell that Pro5.slow on the Bay of E's, and get an MGW shifter!
