Renegade Raceway

sorry for the newby question but I have had my stang for a couple months now and want to race it before they close down the track for next year.

so does anybody know what time Renegade Raceway in Yakima opens and what time racing starts this Saturday 29th. Its a 50 minute drive and I wanna get there early, and what the price would be to race all day, there website was too vague.

THANKS
oh ya anyone else going?

What kind of exhaust is on that GT? Or at least pipes, doesn't sound like it has much exhaust.

I've never heard a modular with that tone ... is that a stroker?

ya you must of skiped the beginning bs,
I had my sidedumps open in that vid.

SPEAKING OF I heard you could buy a kit to open or close the sidedumps with a press of a button, instead of having to take the bolts off. Anyone know who makes those?

So did anyone else go?

first time doing that and it was a total blast!

My best time was 13.47 at 105MPH, I was expecting more but my reaction and 60 was horrible I was always spinning my tires 1st gear.

heres a vid, I'm the slow stang in the far lane.
as for the other race in the vid, I aired my DR's down to 15 pis and had my best launch but saw a red light come on and stopped for 1/2 a sec :bang: (road runner was a bit to excited).

Besides new DR's I just drove the car as I got it. First thing this winter i'm gonna ditch the stock 3.27's for 3.90's or 4.10's, that with practice should make a BIG diffrence.

oh ya, anyone know whos mustang that was that spanked me!

Reaction time has nothing to do with your ET or your MPH. Yakima isn't known for lots of traction. Hopefully your 60's will improve with the gears, but don't expect great 60's out of that track.

I forget if you've already said, but other then the side dumps and DR's what other mods do you have?
Car came from a dealership and for the most part the dealership played dumb to not knowing anything about the car, which could be true. I think they didn't want to find anything that isn't street legal.
So I am still to this day finding little secrets about this car, Here is what i've found so far...

Steeda Lowering Coils
42LB Injectors... I know :D
Cams (dont know what stage or kind, but they aint stock)
UPR Upper And Lower Control Arms
UPR Solid Motor Mounts
315 M/T On 17 Cobra R's
BBK Long Tube O/R Silent Choice Exhaust With Cutouts
CAI
C&L Intake Plenum
BBK 75mm Throttle Body
Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw
MAF
Rear Locker
Battery Relocation
UDP
Aluminum Driveshaft
Drilled & Slotted Brakes

I am real curious if anything has been done internal to this engine, but until there is a real reason to take apart the k-member and drop the oil pan or hoist the engine it will remain a mystery.

One of these days when I get board i'll take the valve covers off and check out the cams.

As for the MAF it doesn't say Ford on it, so im assuming its aftermarket, is there any way to tell? I dont see a brand, just a bunch of numbers.

Is there a different track nearby you recommend? Correct me if im wrong but doesn't Spokane have a 1/8 mile?

Thanks guys
btw is it bad to say goodnight to your car? :nice:

Spokane is 1/4 mile. It's a nice track but the management/ownership is up in the air and nobody's sure what's going to happen to it. I don't think it really hooks any better than Yakima though. There is an 1/8 mile track here in walla walla. It's not bad. The last two races of the year they REALLY stepped up their track prep. Next year it should be back to hooking the way it used to. You really have to get to the east side to find a place that hooks really well.
