Tail Lights

Another thing to consider is that the bodies of the GT tail lights are painted to match the vehicle. So if your GT is white, and you replace the lenses only. you'll have these sleek LX lenses on these silly looking white painted GT tail light bodies. IMO, its MUCH cleaner to swap the whole tail light housing from an LX so the bodies of the tail lights are black.

/unless you have a black GT.....then it won't make a difference.

I am in the Process of doing Cobra Lenses, but I like the fact that my Housings are Silver to match the car.

its not that hard to take them off the car and paint them. i did it, and they look better then they ever did before

The lenses go right on the GT backing, but I would buy the assy's because then you can change them if you ever want to go back to stock or your can sell the GT's.

This is what I did, I bought some used GT Assemblies and pulled the Lenses off and I am painting them Silver to match the Car and will add the Cobra Lenses. This way I can take my Original Tail Light Assemblies off and store them away.
