What year? Is it COP? having one plug out can blow the coil since that plug can't fire. Non-COP motors can see this. COP motors can blow ignition electronic if you don't ground the electrode when turning the motor over. All that spark energy has to go somewhere, and it can break down the inside of the coil and go back to the ignition module and blow it out.
First check is to see if you are getting a spark at a plug...
