I have them, they sound cool. If you do get the FM's, get a Prochamber with it since you like the rumble sound. Mac's I hear are good too for the sound you want.

I have Flow 40s welded in with a catted Prochamber.

It sounds deep, and loud, but not excessively loud. It's not as loud as I thought it would be. It also isn't as menacing with the cats that I have on it. It resonates between 1800 and 2200 rpm. Otherwise, it is smooth and fairly docile. :nice:

the mandrel bend on the complete system might get you 1-2hp, max. I'd just weld some in mufflers and not bother with the complete system

if you do much highway cruising I highly recomend Magnaflows over
Flowmasters. The iratating drone at cruising speed will rattle your brain.
The Magnaflows are not quite as loud but have a better deeper tone.
Zero drone, plus they are strait thru design.... better flow.
Ive had both and will never go flowmaster again.

I have had mac flowpaths for a year and I now have had magnaflow magnapacks on for over a year. The flowpaths (like flowmasters) did drone more. I love the packs but with the windows up it still is loud inside at highway speeds. I might switch to the normal magnaflows down the road. I do love the sound of the packs just not on long trips at highway speed. Check out this video of a this car. He has a Magnaflow O/R X with regular magnaflow mufflers, I think it sounds awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqJrbJpLS78&feature=related

2-1/4" inch exhaust will probably make more torqu on an otherwise unmodded GT. MY local shop tested that. They did a full custome 2-1/4" H pipe and welded in mufflers with stock 2-1/4" tails and the car made more torque.

I agree, my flows are loud when cruising on the highway, but I got used to it, it depends on the person. It's going to be even louder with the o/r x pipe this Xmas:D

Had them on for about 1 week.. took them off. An o/r H/x/prochamber really wakes them up. I took them off because it was to quiet for me =]

So dont get flows if your keeping a catted midpipe. (doesnt matter if its an hi flow catted midpipe.. still 2 quiet)...

Got weld in 40 flows with bassani o/r x here, had it for almost 2 years. Comes off in the morning for a bassani catback. I forgot exactly how much I liked the sound of the bassani stuff until I found an old vid of the GT I used to have. Can't wait to hear it on the Mach.

wat is different from x and h pipe ?

I can find any place that selling flowmaster and x or h pipe ?

X sounds more like a nascar sound and claim more hp and tq than the H. The H however gives more of a rumble sound like a muscle car. Both are great but are just chosen mostly by preference. If your not sure what to get, try the Prochamber it's like having both the X and H into one and it would sound mean with flows.

Flows are pretty common and can be found easily at your local muffler shop and try american muscle for the prochamber, shouldn't be too hard to find. It's common too. Good Luck.

You lose low end tq with an X but gain some hp up top. H pipe you will gain some more low end tq but lose a few hp up top over an x. Both will gain hp over stock. As said the H gives the car more of the 60-70s growl.

I had welded in Flowmaster 40s delta flows with my Mac h pipe, and have swapped them out to the Dynomax ultra flows to quiet my GT down after 5 years of having them in.I really really miss having the Flowmasters on,i moved/bought a new place, and my new neighbour started complainning,so to be a nice guy to keep the piece,i changed them out,but to her,my GT is still to loud, and to tell you the truth,it is know to quiet for me. :notnice:
Flowmaster 40's sound nice and angry when paired up with an aftermarket mid pipe. :nice:
