Thanks. The paint is Plasti-kote (spray bomb). I washed the hell out of them then used green Scotch brite pads to scuff them. About an hour each, maybe less with the pads. I used a flat blade screwdriver to work the tight spots with the pads. Popped them in the oven just to warm them between the 3 coats. I let them dry overnight and put masking tape on them to protect the finish while installing them. I stuck the tape all over my furniture first so it wasn't so sticky as to risk pulling the finish off. The stock gaskets are reuseable, but you'll need a dab of RTV on the head in 2 spots where the front engine cover meets the heads. You'll see that. It's obvious where the silicone goes.
