christmas vandalism!!

Sorry for your bad luck on Christmas day, or any day for that matter.

I got nasty road tar on my black Cobra once. I spent 9 hours getting it off. I used a combo of gasoline, lacquer thinner, and rubbing compound with my rotary wheel. The gas and the lacquer thinner did not damage the finish. It broke down the tar, and of course dulled the paint, but the polish/rubbing compound brought it right back. The underside of the car had it too, but I left it...who cares about the underside...I figured it was good undercoating.

sorry to hear that man.dont worry to much tho because that will come off.i dont suggest using brake clean bc it is NOT good for paint but buffing it should take it off.in the worst case you would have to wet sand and thats not even that bad.at least they didnt key it or something.good luck with it.

Hey guys,

Little update. I got it all off by taking it to the body shop. He had some stuff that took it right off. I dunno what its called but it had "8832" on the side of it, in a large rectangle can.

It looks really good, they waxed that side, and only charged me 40 bucks since it was after xmas!!!

Thanks for your help and support guys. The red steed is back!!!!!
