Do you hear any whine? FRPP looks like they came out with a "new" type of gearset on that link...supossed to be stronger..

I don't think mine whine....but keep in mind that between the motor / T-trim / exhaust.....you don't get to hear much.

Now that I think of it I actually have a set of Ford 3.55's that I swapped out for 3.73's. PM me if you are interested.

I put the ford racing ring and pinion in the 94, when I re did the 98's I went with richmond; I noticed that the richmond set was a little louder until it was broken in. Just so there is no confusion, there is really no break in for gears, just heat cycling, I heat cycled the richmond for a week, changed the diff oil to synthetic, and it was smooth as silk, perfect wear, and quiet. Then my brother's GF totalled the car.......

Yep.

But that being said, FRPP gears are better made so they are easier to set up. Which means they are less likely to whine if done right.

Its just the 373 that they made the change too
