Did my mechanic screw me?

I recently had a mechanic get rid of header bolts that had broken off and rebolt my header back on. When I got home, I noticed if I turned my steering wheel all the way either way while moving, there was thumping noise and the car repeatedly bumped with each thump. The sound always comes from the engine bay area in front of me. Could he have screwed something up? I put new wheels on as well but they were the same size as my old ones and they are low profile tires so I don't think they are rubbing. Help is appreciated!

what is the offset of the new wheels it sounds like your wheels are rubbing in the inner wheel liner. mine does that with my 275 tires on my stock 00 gt wheels
. next time you get a chance look and you should be able to tell by the scrape marks.

Alright, above you have the boot on the passenger side of the rack. You'll need to remove the clamp on it by squeezing it with a pair of pliers. Then slide the boot to the side.

This is what you'll see underneath. You'll need to get both boots out of the way and turn the steering wheel to one side. Turn to the right to work on the left and vice versa. Then pretty much push the limiters onto the shaft. Put the boots back on with the clips and your done. Make sure to check the clearances before putting them back on tho no need to do it multiple times. If you can't get the clamps to go back on you can use zip ties as you can see in both pictures.

You should be ok with either one or two per side. I run three since my car is lowered and has wider wheels on it. Hope that helps ya out man. Any other questions feel free to ask!
