Will this size tires fit?

Hey Guys,

Home on R and R from deployment and I was changing my oil when I noticed the steel belts coming through on my front tires...so time for a replacement pair!

I have 17X8 AFS replicas on the front. I am looking at Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2.

Will the 245/40's fit...or do I have to get the 245/45's?

The 40's will make your speedometer read fast if on the rear. They will fit the front but look kind of Gangsterish.

These are just for the front...How do you mean gangsterish? I had 255/45's on there now...and there is a little too much tire on the sides that I prefer to see...so I wanted to go with a little lower profile...

Is that what you are referring to?

Im not a big fan of really low profile tires, it makes the wheel well look bigger.
With 18" wheels the lower profile tire would then look better.
Although the 245 40 is not to extreme.
