spitting and sputtering just after trying to start....

Ok when i get in and start my stang it turns over perfect and starts for about 1 second. Then it pops out both pipes and dies.
Vrooom...pop.pop dead.
It does not do it every time i start. It seems like if i let it sit after running for about 20/30 minutes it does it more than any other time. It just started one day out of the blue. It may go all day or it may do it nearly every time i start.
I cant figure out whats up....HELP pease!

Yea the thing about it i can give it gas and it will start and then run just fine. If it does the sputter thing it wil start perfectly just seconds after that when i try again.

Idle Air Control valve Do a search on here about it (IAC) and you can find a fix, or you can replace it

The week I got rid of the GT it was doin that,but my prob was the plugs were bad,replaced them about 6 months before so I didnt think that would be the prob...but they were Bosch plugs....crap.Long as my foot stayed on the gas it ran.

I second that. Check hoses from the air intake but I'd give dollars to donuts the IAC is goofing.

When mine decided to act up on me, which was years ago, I received no CEL. My car wouldn't idle so it made for a fun trip to town to get it fixed especially since I had an auto

Do you have a handheld tuner or DTC reader? If not take it to autozone or some place similar and post up the DTC code that's throwing the CEL.

Thats just it im not getting a CEL. I was asking to see if it would or not if it were the IAC. Sorry i need to make my self more clear.
