I forget what I came here to look for, but here I am! Short and sweet, I've been a fan of the Fox body and mustangs in general since the 80's, before I could even drive.
A friend of mine is a mechanic and a Mustang nut, and I've bought a couple from him over time. I had an 86 GT, white, but she was badly in need of paint and I didn't want to put the money into her. I sold that and bought a 93 GT automatic in the electric red with titanium lower cladding. Kept that for 4 years, sold it, and just last year, I bought my bud's 93 LX 5.0 5spd. It had been repainted with a factory quality job, and it's pretty stock, save for:
Underdrive Pulleys, K & N Filter, Tri-Axe shifter with a cobra knob, BBK H-pipe with OEM muffler/tail pipe assemblies, and 3.08 gears.
There's also a nice stereo in there with a Sony Xplod head unit, remote control, I forget what speakers are in there, but aftermarket in all positions, an amp for the front speakers, and a 2x10 kicker box in the trunk with it's own amp. Here are some pics:
I have a problem though, although the wheels look pretty good in the pics, they don't look that great close up. I found out that Ford stop producing the OEM ponies, there are a couple of vendors online who still have them listed on their sites, and they really aren't that much money. My tires are pretty good, the rear tires are actually new.
So, do I:
1. Grab up a set of ponies now and use my existing tires.
2. Replace the whole wheel/tire set with a 17" chrome cobra set
I like both style wheels on this car and I can't decide. I also don't have an extra $1K laying around either, so maybe the cheaper alternative is the best?
