I'll never vote for a democrat, they are all about raising tax's more and more and trying to beat down business that runs the country. They want nothing but the American people to be dependent on the government , hence all the new government programs Obama wants to introduce which will be paid for in what way?? Yes by more of your tax dollars

While Meet the PRess was on yesterday I was reminded of what Colin Powel had to say about McCain last week on the show. He said McCain was inconsistent. That was a comment coming from a well respected Republican who threw his support behind Obama. I'm sure his decision wasn't made lightly nor were his comments.

Unless something drastic happens in the past week or the poll numbers are way off then it looks like Obama will win and just in case he does Im going on record now as saying I TOLD YOU SO when things in this country are much more worse then they are now b/c of policy's and decisions made by Obama. So just remember where you vote when when all of this does go down.

ha ha I can say I TOLD YOU SO right now! Our country IS in worse shape now than it was before Bush became president. Things were pretty good under Clinton but you can't say the same with Bush. That is why Bush's ratings are so low.

I'm sure it wasn't that simple but it was a factor. Remember he is a very influential figure and has a lot to lose by just changing sides because of race. I'm sure he would like to have a high level job or possibly be president himself. He has to be extremely careful.

Things were better when Clinton was in b/c we had a republican controlled congress that pushed him to make tax cuts towards the end of his term which he did do. Were totally FcKed!!! having a democrat in the white house and democrat controlled house and senate they will have the power to do whatever they want. Do you know the last time all 3 were controlled by the democrats? Might want to look up and see how things where when Jimmy Carter was in office. It wont be any different this time around.

Lets not also forget that during clinton's term bin Laden was in the sights of a US Sniper and all we needed was the Ok from the president to pull the trigger and he declined. Probably could have saved the lives of 3,000 Americans on a infamous day in September 2001.

The Bush Administration could care less about what avg Americans are talking about, its not a program to spy on regular working people in the country, its put in place to stop terrorism home and abroad. thats funny. I saw a T shirt a woman was wearing at the Portland Pirates game on saturday that said SAVE THE TA TAs. It was breast cancer awareness night. I also saw the same thing on a bumper sticker a few months ago and that was also on a woman's car.

Watching the weather earlier and it said it was 36 down in Jacksonville. That has got to be a shock for them to be that cold.

Each day we can say goodbye to more of the freedoms that make the US what it is. Each day we can move a little closer to being like the USSR because of so called patriots like Travis who don't realize what we are giving up. All in the name of anti terrorism.
Yes Travis they do watch everyone. You make any phone calls outside of the US or make to many bank transactions, ect, ect. You pilot a boat out on the ocean...you might be smuggling something like drugs or weapons. You cross into Canada or Mexico then you might be up to something bad. Big Brother is watching.

Shaw did you figure out what you are going to use to clean your driveway this winter? I saw snow flakes yesterday.
I saw some huge snow blowers at Lowes recently. They were about 3 times as wide as a normal snow blower and made by John Deere. With that wide of a clearing path it better have one hell of a engine and throwing distance. Would make clear the driveway quicker.

Yes they do monitor those types of calls but dont you see that as necessary when dealing w/ terrorism? If your an every day avg Americain you dont have anything to worry about. Then can care less about what SSOM members are doing or who they talk to. Its not like they are spying on Cindy Lou from Oklahoma to find out what they ate for dinner the night before or when they plan on going to walmart again

Bryan you fail to realize the things Obama has said about the Constitution. Liberals have been trying to rewrite the constitution for years now or brush it off as something that no longer applies to the country hundreds of years later. You have to read between the lines but what Obama is saying about the Constitution is the types of things that will erode this country and take away all of our freedoms. Conservatives want the constitution interpreted by the way it was written, not as how we think it should have said or individual views on it such as w/ liberals

Why do you fail to see the hell the country went through w/ Carter? Why do you fail to see it would be any different now? Obama wants a socialist type country, were everyone is equal and your money is spread out for everyone else to have, that was a quote from his mouth, not political spin. That's the thing w/ liberals they cant say what they really feel b/c no one would ever vote for them except for a few, but every once in awhile they "slip up" Like Obama did w/ Joe the Plumer.

Every new program obama wants to introduce involves more government and more spending. How is bigger government and more control over the government over out lives better for America and giving us more freedom?

Our only hope (and its starting to show) is that the polls were way off and McCain is a lot closer to winning this then what people thought. But in case Im wrong and Obama still wins.... I told you so ...when the inevitable does happen.

N.Y State got dumped on yesterday, over a foot. If it snows like it did last year id be buying one big MOFO for snow removal.

I still don't accept it as ok for anyone to take away the freedoms that make the US what it is. Take away one today then another tomorrow. That is not acceptable and should be protected by the Constitution. Just like various groups government and other wise have been trying for years to take away our rights to bear arms. Some groups don't want us driving cars with a lot of power or large SUVs. You have to draw that line and not accept anything being taken away so lightly. It starts small and just builds then before you know it its too late. You take away those freedoms and you just become a piece of crap country just like all the other places you wouldn't want to live. There has to be a better solution than moving towards a Totalitarian government that takes away your freedom to do pretty much anything. Are we going to have check points at each state line and you have to have the proper documentation to travel kind of like the old USSR or China or North Korea. WHy not if its in the name of safety.

You don't realize what the republicans have been doing to the labor movement for years. Bush wanted to do away with paying overtime. You know that lovely overtime that you used to do a lot of to help pay for some of the toys that you enjoy. Wouldn't that suck if you had to work even more to afford that stuff? Didn't you work hard enough and don't you deserve the money for the effort you put forward? IF you don't think you deserve that then give the money back. They have been putting up roadblocks where ever they can to stop the labor movement and keep the corporations in control. I wouldn't have the things I do if it weren't for the Teamsters. The company I work for sure as hell wouldn't give me all the pay and benefits that I have if it weren't for the Teamsters negotiating a contract for us. I will vote for Labor and Freedom.

If you look at it as a whole the democrats/liberals have been the ones trying to take away more freedoms or erode the constitution. I dont know enough about the labor movement to comment on it but I do know that when it comes to the US Military, Terrorism, Protecting the constitution, and more public control VS bigger government the democrats in office have been the ones against all of it.
