just wondering if anyone has these finned tailight covers on their 65-66..just looking for a better picture, I kinda like them...maybe a good alternative to shelby lights
Not the "Finned Grille"; but the tail light panel on the right looks like the panel on the '68 coupe next door to me. It very much looks like it belongs there.
the coug's had vertical ribs on the taillights. thought the 69 cougars had horizontal ribs on the grill, all other cougars had vertical ribs on the grill, that's the only thing i don't like about my 69 cougar is the horizontal ribs on the grill, they should match the taillights and use vertical ribs.
if you get those taillights for the 66 you should also get a billet grill with horizontal ribs too, to complete the look.
personally, i've always liked the look of the 65 t-bird taillights on the 65-66 stangs. if you got the chrome gas cap splash shield panel for the 65-66 and used the t-bird taillights i think that would be a sweet look.
I like that look for the 67-68. I believe it was a factory or dealer option.
I'm not sure about that add on for the 65-66. That is definitely aftermarket. It is kinda cool and different. If you like it then I say go for it. I wonder if the whole thing lights up with the tail lights or not.
I was wondering the same thing....if not I could make it light up...maybe using shelby housings? regardless its different and I do like it much better than the stock tailights...I'll go for it...sometime after i get the thing back on the road
